Yesterday I bought this new tool: it's a black brush-pen by Pentel, and some paper to prepare the frames for "Vienna Sketch Group Exhibition" on the 7th of April 2016 at 7 p.m., Galerie Takt, 1090, Ingen-Housz-Gasgse 2, Vienna.
"Sketch Group is an international group of artist in Vienna. We meet regularly to draw and paint from a model. 15 artists from our group are happy to present their favorite pieces born at our sketch sessions."
I have the pleasure to be one of them! There will be art, wine and music.
03.03.16 h 19:00 Kaffeebar Quentin, Wien Pippi Longstocking Sketch Session. I did 3 poses for 8 minutes and just one for 25 minutes (with watercolor), because unfortunately I had a strong headache. Sigh.
Cheetahs are the fastest land animals: all their different adaptations are about speed. - long limbs - big nostrils - they can't retract their claws They are smaller: they take down small animals, so the jaw is not so big. The face is flatter (more like a house cat actually) and they have the elegant and very distinctive marker (S shape), which starts from the eyes and ends into the muzzle. Remember to mark the strong cheekbones.
Leopards are much smaller than lions or tigers. Leopards tend to be a bit longer than lions, proportionally with their bodies. The eyes are bigger, the head is smaller (in proportion), the arms are strong and the back legs long with smaller feet. The line of action is very smooth.
Here there are my study drawings with notes about the eighth lesson.
