The Theater is open from autumn to spring. Rumours say it Mr. Maestro will attend in winter.

And so this is the end of my first INKtober. And I did it!!!!!!!
This was for me a chance to depict my imaginary world. Obviously at the beginning I was super scared about it, because it's not about technic. You will never feel enough skilled anyway. No. It's because is intimate. But I'm studing drawing with the purpose of speaking my voice, not just to do pretty drawings. Therefor thanks to everybody that used to encourage me to keep going with a like, a message or peeking over my shoulder to check the new subject of the day and all the INktober attendants!

The Post Office is the same everywhere.

I'm happy with my new marker for the gesture poses (a black Copic Multi Liner M) and moreover with my last drawing. In the latest the perspective and the sense of weight was very hard to depict, but I didn't change my spot in order to take this new challenge. My studies become every day more interesting.

These are a selection of my studies from life drawing thanks to City Life Drawing.

I made the warm up (10 poses for 1 minute) with a ball pen, because I need to catch the first impression of the gesture without worrying about anatomy.  

The 5  minute poses (and the first one of 10 min) with just the grey pencil on white paper and the longer poses (10 and 20 minutes) with also the white (for the light) and the brown (for the midtones) on a colored paper (to depict the lights).

The "I Carusi" never touch the ground. They perch on a wire throwing pebbles down into the sea.

Carusi is a Sicilian word that literally means "children": children, both boys and girls in Sicily

Mine creative process for "I Carusi":

At the beginning I remembered a game that I used to play when I was a child: jump from a little wall to another without touching the ground. From this memory I thought about someone living on a wire, but nothing valid came in my mind. So I went back to the origin, the focus: the game of the children. 
Therefor here they are: the orphans, turned back, with the sea at their feet, playing with pebbles.

I used the reverse triangle as a composition because the wider part rapresent their whole world, their proper home. They are split from the elected ones, who have the parents. The sea is comparatively small.

External there is who wait to be a member of The Without Parents Realm.
