Gouache #3

Atonement is a splendid novel by Ian McEwan.
I read the book after watching Joe Wright's movie.
Here's a study from one of the most famous scene.

The Addams Family "Grandmama"

The Addams Family Musical Comedy is hilarious! My favourite part is the one about Grandma: of whom is she the mother???.
Neither Gomez nor Morticia seem to know the answer.

GOUACHE #2

I painted this from life, watching the light and the color from my window.
In the meantime I'm also studying Richard Yot's book "Light for Visual Artists" to see how light and color work. I must surely find a good paper tape, this one rips the paper... sigh.

GOUACHE study from Peter Chan

Dublin, Aug '17 Gouache color

This time I've followed a tutorial by Peter Chan on gouache technique.
I love his use of the flat brush for shaping the planes and the color palette for the shadows.

This is the result of my efforts.

GOUACHE 1

Gouache, Dublin 29.7.17

My parents in law are in Dublin to visit us. Patrizia give me Maimeri gouache as a present . Here my very first attempts! The last one is my favourite, I've used a small square brush and divided the form in plans. I wanna try to improve this kind of loose style.

Life Drawing in Boulder Media, Dublin  5.7.17

Last session of Life drawing with Niall Laverty. This time I've tried for the first time the charcoal and it was fun! Thank Niall for teaching me how to shade the figures :)
